There are two main types of adenomyosis:
- Diffuse adenomyosis: This type involves widespread growth of endometrial tissue throughout the muscle wall of the uterus.
- Focal adenomyosis: This type involves localized growth of endometrial tissue in one or more areas of the uterus.
